What happens to my data if I downgrade from Premium to Free?
All your data remains accessible and viewable! The graceful downgrade policy means everything you created while on Premium (extra categories, tags, emotions, tasks) stays in your app. You just can't create NEW premium-only content. For example, if you have 8 categories, you keep all 8, but can't add a 9th one. Your ML insights history also remains viewable.

Where is my ML analysis data stored?
All emotion analysis happens locally on your device. The ML algorithms run on your computer using Python - emotional data never leaves your machine. Only Premium users who enable cloud sync send task metadata (titles, dates, categories) to Firebase for multi-device access, but emotional insights remain local.
Can I use To-Do Emote without a Google account?
Yes, for the Free tier on a single device, you can skip Google login and use local-only storage. However, Google authentication is required for Premium cloud sync features.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Cancel anytime through your Lemonsqueezy customer portal (link in the app settings). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Premium features until then, and your data gracefully downgrades as described above.
Do you offer student or nonprofit discounts?
Not currently, but the $4.99/month Premium pricing is designed to be accessible. The robust Free tier also serves most casual users. We're exploring discount programs for the future - check back or contact support.
